shmu are offering exciting youth media taster sessions to all P7 pupils that are moving up to academy after the school holidays. This is available to any young person that either lives or attends the schools in shmu target areas; Northfield, Cummings Park, Middlefield, Woodside, Tillydrone, Seaton and Torry.
The Big Noise visited shmu to appear on the Youth Media Project’s Music Madness show. The Big Noise is a group of talented performers who teach young people to play orchestra instruments and to play a performance for others people.
A member of shmu’s Youth Media Team has been awarded the Saltire Summit Award.
Robert McDonald joined shmu through the Youth TV Project back in October 2012 and has been volunteering ever since through the Youth Radio Project, a stint as our Tilly Talks presenter and now regularly covers Breakfast and Cruise Control shows when needed.
Extra-curricular activities can help you in many ways and teach you valuable skills that you otherwise wouldn’t learn in school, and this is especially true with school choirs. Do you wish to become a singer when you’re older? Well joining a school choir is a great way to achieve that dream.
